Thoughts on Grief

Grieving is a process, and it does get better. Time helps, yes. However, on some level, I believe missing one who has left never completely ends while we live on this Earth. Grieving a person or animal of importance, that one truly loves, may continue to some extent throughout an entire lifetime, until you reunite with them on the Other Side. That’s been my experience for those close to me that I have lost. Family or friend, two legged or four. The sadness and pain dissipates as life goes on. Grief itself gets less intense, but love holds one tenderly to the memories of all that was. Love is our eternal bond to those who have left and it’s a heartache that lessens yet never completely disappears. I’ve moved forward, but my lost loves came with me in my heart and I have never stopped missing them, wishing they were still here. If you have experienced the lost of one precious to you, this is simply understood.
